Barry is a specialist in civil litigation. He started his legal career as a common law practitioner. In thirty years of practice there are few areas of law where he has not been instructed.

Barry’s bread and butter is personal injury (claimant and defendant) and professional negligence (primarily clinical and solicitor).

His is a broad practice, and if asked, would say that his interest is in litigation per se. His experience taught him that the techniques of successful civil litigation cross over from one area of law to the others, for example general commercial disputes, partnership disputes, land and building disputes (including planning), employment advices and appears in Arbitrations, sports and other regulatory tribunals.

He is available to lecture on a wide range of subjects (e.g. The Bribery Act, The Data Protection Act, Actions against the Police, and Building subsidence).
