Before being called to the Bar, Marcia had a successful clinical career at UCL Hospital London, where apart from her regular practice she was a Clinical Research Fellow. With her research team, Marcia published work in the field of Paediatric Endocrinology. Her strong scientific qualification has placed her at an advantage when reading medical and forensic reports for trials. Her clinical experience is valuable when cross-examining medical expert witnesses.
Prior to that, she was responsible for Medical Negligence claims for Camden and Islington Health Authority, preparing over 1000 cases for trial. She is currently planning a book on medical negligence in and around child birth. This background provides Marcia with a clear advantage when handling Medical Negligence and Personal Injury cases.
Marcia is an active Advocate in the High Court, Crown Court and County Court. Despite her obvious interest in Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury litigation, Marcia maintains a broad criminal and civil practice.
Marcia is also a qualified Direct Access barrister.
