Immigration Barrister

Navaz has extensive experience in all areas of Immigration and Nationality law regularly representing clients in the First-tier and Upper Tribunals and on appeal to the Court of Appeal. She prides herself in keeping abreast with the many changes in this complex area of law and believes that meticulous preparation is key to success.

Navaz provides advice and advocacy services in Entry Clearance, Asylum, Settlement, Deportation, EEA, the Points-Based System and Human Rights appeals. She has a special interest in Article 8 (family life and medical cases) and family related appeals including the now near impossible to win ‘elderly parents’ category. She also accepts instructions in relation to immigration offences.

Civil Barrister

Navaz maintains a niche practice in the field of licensing law advising and representing clients in a wide range of licensing matters. She acts for businesses, local authorities and other interested parties providing representation in the areas of alcohol and entertainment licensing, revocation and review proceedings before the Licensing Sub-Committee, licensing offences, appeals to the Magistrates’ Court and challenges in the High Court by way of Judicial Review.

Public Law Barrister

Navaz is regularly instructed on high profile and complex challenges, including judicial reviews and public law considerations in a variety of cases. She draws upon expertise in several different areas, including immigration, EU law, and other areas of social welfare law.
