Family Barrister

Ngaa undertakes work in all areas of family law, including Private and Public Law Children, Financial Remedies and Family Law Act proceedings. Ngaa is meticulous in her preparation and committed to achieving the best outcome for her clients. She is praised for her ability to put nervous clients at ease.

Children (Private Law)

Ngaa regularly represents clients who are involved in private children proceedings and accepts instructions in all stages of such proceedings, including final and fact-finding hearings. Ngaa is praised for her excellent witness handling and effective cross examination- experience of which is gained from her criminal law practice.

Children (Public Law)

Ngaa has experience representing parents in care proceedings where care proceedings have been instigated because of domestic violence, drink and drug dependence and mental health problems.

Domestic Violence and Injunctions

Ngaa has experience applying for and contesting non-molestation orders and occupation orders. More recently, Ngaa has accepted instructions in forced marriage protection orders.

Family Finance and Property

Ngaa is building her practice in the area of family finance and property.  She has experience of a range of financial remedy hearings, including FDAs, FDRs, preliminary issue hearings and final hearings.

 

 

Civil Barrister

Ngaa accepts instructions in personal injury cases on behalf of both Claimants and Defendants. She acts in claims arising out of road traffic accidents, employers and occupiers liability and has acted for Claimants and Defendants in contractual disputes. Ngaa represents both Defendants and Claimants in infant settlement hearings and accepts  instructions to provide written advices and to settle pleadings.
