Training with the Society of British-Bangladeshi Solicitors

News

Samina Iqbal and Sarah Pinder, of Goldsmith Chambers’ immigration team, were pleased to join the Society of British-Bangladeshi Solicitors on Saturday 14th September 2019 for a full day’s CPD training.

Sarah started the morning session with a 3-hour update on Article 8 ECHR covering the recent Supreme Court cases of KO (Nigeria) and Ruppiah and how these have since been interpreted and applied in the Courts and Tribunals.

After a very enjoyable lunch break with delegates, Samina continued the training day with a full update on EEA law spanning the uncertainty of Brexit, pre-settled and settled status applications and the impact of the Upper Tribunal’s and CJEU’s judgments in Banger to list but a few areas covered!

Samina and Sarah especially wish to thank Mohammad Gaffar, Ehsanul Hoque, Mahadi Hassan, Dewan Mahdy Chowdhury, Muhammed Goni Ullah and Sarwar Kamal, of the Society who all made them feel very welcome indeed.
