Call to the Bench - Linda Sullivan QC, who is currently Master Reader of Middle Temple, followed in the footsteps of her grandfather when she presented HRH Prince William of Wales for call to the Bench of Middle Temple on Monday 6 July 2009. In a speech, Master His Royal Highness Prince William of Wales commented on the historical significance of her role: “It is a reflection of that history and the continuing vitality of the Inn that Master Reader, who presented me to you for Call to the Bench tonight, is herself the granddaughter of the great Irish advocate, Sergeant Sullivan, who, as Treasurer of the Middle Temple, called my great grandmother to the Bench in December 1944.”
