  • R (on the Application of Minto) v Secretary of State for the Home Department [2016] EWCA Civ 285: A Court of Appeal hearing regarding insurmountable obstacles and precarious family life in relation to Article 8 ECHR.
  • MH (Bangladesh) & Anor v Secretary of State for the Home Department [2015] EWCA Civ 1442: A Court of Appeal hearing regarding the relevance of evidential flexibility in the Points-Based System for a Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) Migrant.
  • R (on the Application of Thayalan) v Secretary of State for the Home Department [2015] EWHC 746 (Admin): A judicial review claim regarding a naturalisation application for a former commander for the Tamil Tigers and whether good character redemption should be considered.
  • CW (Jamaica) v Secretary of State for the Home Department [2013] EWCA Civ 915: A deportation appeal in the Court of Appeal revolving around DP5/96, the former 7 year child policy, and the best interests of the child.
  • Sanade and others (British children – Zambrano – Dereci) [2012] UKUT 00048 (IAC): Upper Tribunal reported case regarding deportation, the best interests of children, the rights of EU national children.
  • KR (Nepal) v Secretary of State for the Home Department [2010] EWCA Civ 1619: A Court of Appeal case regarding consent orders and costs and judicial process in the higher courts.
  • R v Mubbashar Rana [2007] EWCA Crim 2261: An appeal in the Court of Appeal regarding whether a judge had been entitled to give a direction to a jury pursuant to the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 s.34 and modify it accordingly rather than giving a lies direction.
  • Iqbal v DPP [2004] EWHC 2567: Appeal by way of case stated regarding the admissibility of pre-caution comments, material averment in charge and the business documents exception to the hearsay rule.
  • R (on the application of White) v Barking Magistrates Court [2004] EWHC 417 (Admin): A judicial review case regarding whether a legitimate expectation was given to the claimant by the defendant magistrates’ court that it would sentence him in a particular way for a serious drugs offence.
