Shiraz Bhanji is an experienced practitioner across all areas of crime, employment, immigration and public law.

During the late nineties Shiraz pursued interest in rural communities in Kenya working with NGO’s in methods of enhancing income and opportunities of indigenous subsistence farmer, enhancing existing child welfare and child education programmes in deep rural areas of Kenya. As a result of his exposure to such communities he now undertakes cases involving child slavery, child exploitation and youth crime with interest. Shiraz gives a priority to representing such cases pro-bono where possible.

Shiraz has a keen interest in Education Law, Valuation Tribunals and Property law (rights of way, easements) and appears regularly before the Employment Tribunal as well as the FTT, UT and the Court of Appeal undertaking variously applications for reconsideration, Immigration related Judicial Review and appeals to the Court of Appeal. He has experience in Non-Domestic valuation rate appeals and will undertake Planning appeals.
