Natalie is currently undertaking a criminal pupillage at Goldsmith Chambers under the supervision of Jerry Hayes, developing her practice across all areas of criminal law.

Before commencing pupillage, Natalie worked for over two years as a paralegal at a busy criminal defence firm, gaining extensive experience across a broad range of offences, including serious violence, fraud, and historic sexual offences. She managed her own caseload, liaised directly with clients, drafted written advocacy, and assisted with case preparation from charge through to trial.

Prior to this, Natalie worked at the Citizens Advice Bureau, where she honed her skills in providing advice and support to individuals facing a range of legal and practical issues. During her time at university, she volunteered with the Litigants in Person Project, assisting clients in navigating the legal system and representing themselves in court. She was also involved with InState, where she led the Law pathway, helping to expand opportunities for state-educated university students pursuing careers in law.

Natalie read Law at the University of Leicester, spending a year abroad in Oslo where she studied international law and developed a keen interest in international criminal justice. While in Norway, she was selected to compete in the Nuremberg Moot Court Competition, where her team placed 23rd out of 150 teams overall.

She went on to complete the Bar Training Course, achieving a grade of Very Competent, with Outstanding marks in cross-examination and opinion writing. She was called to the Bar in 2021 by Middle Temple as a recipient of the Jamieson Scholarship and the Blackstone Entrance Exhibition Award.
