Family Barrister

Children (Private Law)

Ngaa regularly represents parties who are involved in disputes about their children and have applied or are intending to apply for child arrangement orders. She accepts work in all  stages of child arrangement order proceedings, including First Hearing Dispute Resolution, interim hearings, Dispute Resolution Appointments, Fact Finding Hearings, and Final Hearings. Ngaa’s expertise includes shared care orders/live with orders where she assists parents and extended family members, such as grandparents, aunts, and uncles, seeking contact with children or orders for them to live with them.

Ngaa has substantial experience in complex relocation cases, where a parent is seeking/opposing a permanent relocation to another town/city in the UK or removal of a child from England and Wales-whether temporarily for holidays or for longer periods. She regularly advises and attends Court to represent parents/family members involved in applications for Prohibited Steps Orders, covering immediate return of children, prevention of removal from a parent’s care/jurisdiction, and Specific Issue Order disputes about children’s name(s), school, religion, or medical treatment. Enforcement of orders is a key aspect of Ngaa’s practice.

Family Finance and Property

Ngaa represents parties who are married/in civil partnerships who are in Court because of financial disputes about their assets. She assists in all aspects of financial remedy applications, including property disputes over property ownership and cases involving third-party beneficial interests, from initial appointments to final hearings.

Family Law Act Proceedings

Ngaa acts for both applicants and respondents in applications for Non Molestation Orders and Occupation Orders, providing comprehensive advice and representation throughout the process to include ex parte and on notice hearings.
