She has been nominated as an Inspiring Woman Lawyer, and a profile of her contribution to law will be added to a project website hosted by the Oxford Faculty of Law. The project aims to create an oral history of inspiring women lawyers which will be lodged in the Sound Archive of the British Library as a national resource.
She was one of just a small group of barristers across England and Wales to be selected for the inaugural Bar Council Leadership Programme 2020 – 2021, with a view to facilitating a powerful network of new leaders to drive forward a positive, open and inclusive culture across the Bar.
She regularly trains students, pupils and new practitioners, and is often invited to deliver lectures and appear as a guest speaker on webinars and podcasts relating to the law. She organises and chairs the Family Law Bar Association (“FLBA”) Autumn Lecture Series for the whole of the Family Bar.
She is a mentor for many barristers at different stages of their careers, including student barristers, pupils and those returning to the Bar after a leave of absence.
She was appointed as Master of the Bench of Gray’s Inn in July 2022.
Victoria is also a family mediator and the co-author of the England and Wales chapter in The Variegated Landscape of Mediation: a Comparative Study of Mediation Regulation and Practices in Europe and the World (Manon Schonewille and Dr Fred Schonewille [eds.], The Hague, Eleven International Publishing 2014).
She was the elected 2020 Chair of the Wellbeing at the Bar Working Group which carries out work on behalf of all barristers, clerks and staff in England and Wales. She is the Chair of the FLBA Wellbeing Subcommittee, in which role she organises seminars with psychologists, psychotherapists and members of the judiciary as guest speakers. In October 2020 she was appointed as a LawCare champion in recognition of her ongoing contribution towards promoting good mental health and wellbeing in the legal community.
