Marie de Redman, instructed by Birmingham firm Hussain Solicitors, successfully defended a 63 year old man charged with Assault by Penetration. The trial at Birmingham Crown Court lasted 5 days and involved cross examination of a vulnerable complainant with mental health issues and learning difficulties. The Jury were unanimous in finding the man Not Guilty after less than an hour in deliberation.
Marie will now begin a period of maternity leave until early summer 2019, when she looks forward to returning to practice.
