Grace Ong secures convictions in Rape cases

Grace Ong, prosecuting, secured convictions in September and October for 2 familial rape cases and one multi-handed case involving 5 young defendants. The defendants in the rape cases were sentenced to 22 years and 18 years imprisonment respectively.

Marie de Redman secures acquittal in Assault by Penetration Trial

Marie de Redman, instructed by Birmingham firm Hussain Solicitors, successfully defended a 63 year old man charged with Assault by Penetration.  The trial at Birmingham Crown Court lasted 5 days and involved cross examination of a vulnerable complainant with mental health issues and learning difficulties.  The Jury were unanimous in finding the man Not Guilty […]
