We are delighted to announce that Anthony Metzer QC and Dr Charlotte Proudman have been shortlisted for the Family Law Awards in the category of “case of the year” for MCP, C-603/20 PPU which was a European Court of Justice case in which they successfully represented the mother earlier this year. It was the penultimate case before the CJEU prior to Britain leaving Europe.
Dr Charlotte Proudman has also been shortlisted for “Family Law Junior Barrister of the Year”. Dr Proudman represented two of the appellant mothers in H-N And Others (Children) (Domestic Abuse: Finding of Fact Hearings) (Rev 2) [2021] EWCA Civ 448, a general guidance case concerning domestic abuse, rape and coercive and controlling behaviour in the family courts.
