Araniya Kogulathas joins Chambers

Chambers is delighted to welcome Araniya Kogulathas as a member. Araniya joins Chambers’ immigration and public law team.

Araniya practises in the areas of immigration, refugee and asylum, and public law. Prior to joining Chambers, she was the Legal Manager of Bail for Immigration Detainees’ EEA Project and also worked on the Grenfell Inquiry.  

Araniya is particularly experienced in representing vulnerable individuals including those held in immigration detention, victims of torture and those with complex health needs. She is both conscientious and diligent in her approach to her clients and work.  

Araniya is motivated by social justice, furthering access to justice and eradicating inequality. She is a co-founder of the grassroots voluntary community group ‘Displaced Collective’ in Birmingham, which provides holistic support to migrant young people by helping them to navigate the immigration, asylum and social care systems and to cultivate joy by furthering their own interests.
