Bar Pro Bono Awards 2019

News

Last night, 6th November 2019, at the Advocate Pro Bono Awards, Head of Chambers Anthony Metzer QC was awarded Pro Bono QC of the year. Sanaz Saifolahi, of the immigration team, was recognised as ‘highly commended’ in the Junior Pro Bono barrister of the year category.

Both Anthony and Sanaz were recognised for their extensive pro bono work in the case of Banger, which was heard in the Upper Tribunal (IAC) as well as the Court of Justice of the EU with proceedings spanning several years and resulting in fundamental changes being made to the law, as well as for their commitment to other pro bono work. Chambers is very proud of Anthony’s and Sanaz’ recognition and congratulates them both for their respective award and commendation.
