Breaking the barriers to being your best at the Bar

On 25th November, Goldsmith Chambers co-hosted with Doughty Street Chambers an evening at their Chambers, to commemorate and celebrate 100 years of Women in the Law.

The event, which was the inspiration of Chambers’ well-being team, was attended by many members of chambers including staff and pupils, as well as invited guests.

Anthony Metzer QC welcomed everyone to the presentation. He was followed by Mrs Justice Steyn who introduced the guest speaker: Nikki Alderson, a former criminal barrister and now Corporate and Executive Coach. The excellent talk was focused on reviewing personal performance and career progression through a positive mind-set, application of coaching exercises and improved time ownership.

The speeches were followed by drinks and was an occasion greatly enjoyed by all who attended. It is hoped that there will be further joint events in the future.
