Brenda Efurhievwe due to deliver Immigration Detention Workshop for Free Movement

On 9 July 2026 Brenda Efurhievwe will be delivering a live workshop for Free Movement “Challenging immigration detention: a practical guide”.

The workshop, worth 1.5 CPD points, will assist immigration practitioners in challenging unlawful immigration detention.  The training will cover:

  • When detention is unlawful, including the Hardial Singh principles and the Adults at Risk policy
  • Methods of challenge, including making representations in Home Office and Tribunal bail applications, and judicial review
  • Grounds and conditions of bail
  • Insights from a practitioner with significant experience in challenging immigration detention

Brenda is a member of the Immigration and Public Law team. She specialises in immigration appeals and civil actions against public authorities.
