Family Law Awards 2023 Shortlist Announced

We are delighted to announce that Goldsmith Chambers has been shortlisted for two awards and a valued member of our Chambers, Dr Charlotte Proudman has also been shortlisted for a prestigious award.

Family Law Case of the Year

Two cases in which Dr Charlotte Proudman was instructed have been shortlisted for case of the year:

Traharne v Limb (2022) EWFC 27 

Dr Charlotte Proudman was junior counsel for the wife in a financial remedy case following allegations of coercive and controlling behaviour and the impact of such allegations on the validity of a post-nuptial agreement.

Re P (Service on Parent in a Refuge) [2023] EWHC 471 (Fam)

Dr Charlotte Proudman was instructed by Rights of Women to act on behalf of Refuge, Women’s Aid and Latin American Women’s Aid in case in which the President of the Family Division provided helpful interim guidance on the service of family court orders on women residing in refuges

Family Law Junior Barrister of the Year

Dr Charlotte Proudman has been shortlisted for this highly regarded award recognising the substantial impact that counsel has had on family law. Charlotte previously was ‘highly commended’ for the same award.
