George Symes successfully defends unusual possession claim

News

In an eventful five-day trial, in which the Claimant’s primary witness – a former barrister and solicitor – was not only found to have knowingly produced numerous statutory declarations which were untrue, but actively invited the Judge to make that finding, George Symes was successful in defending the claim for possession.

Although the Defendant was unsuccessful in his counterclaim for a life interest, the Claimant’s claim was also dismissed, and HHJ Johns KC made specific reference to George’s “efficient and effective cross-examination”.

George was instructed by David Benson Solicitors.
