Goldsmith Chambers Immigration team present bespoke seminar to Caronte

News

Members of the Goldsmith Chambers Immigration Team presented a bespoke seminar to ‘Caronte’, an Italian comparative research project on contemporary asylum policy.

Caronte is looking at best practice in German, UK, Italian and Canadian asylum policy.  By focusing upon international case studies, the project aims to help the legislature reform Italian asylum policy. The results of the project will be presented directly to the Italian government in March.

The seminar focused on section 94 and 94B of the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002 (‘the Act’), and the guidance to these sections issued by the Home Office on 12 April 2017.
