Head of family group publishes Wellbeing at the Bar blog

News

Victoria Wilson, Chambers’ head of the family practice team, has written a blog post published by the Wellbeing at the Bar website entitled “Why do you want to be a barrister?”.  You can read the blog post here.

Whilst focusing on the numerous, varied and often quirky reasons why members of the Bar chose this profession, Victoria reminds us that being a barrister can be incredibly stressful and demanding.  She rightly notes however that “it does not make us bad barristers if we need to ask for help”.  Victoria has also helpfully sign-posted readers to the LawCare’s free and confidential helpline if persons feel unable to open up to someone they know, such as a trusted colleague, clerk or friend.

Chambers is a firm supporter of wellbeing and mindfulness at the Bar.
