Meyrick Williams successful in 4-month violent disorder/murder trial, Birmingham. May 2022

News

In 2021 a shotgun and arson attack upon Meyrick’s defendant’s home lead to a pursuit through the streets of Birmingham and the resulting death of one the four attackers. They had been armed with knives, petrol, shotgun and pistols.  There were multiple defendants in this case and Meyrick’s client was said to have contacted others who pursued the unfortunate victim, cornering him in a side street. His client was also alleged to have been one of a group who violently attacked another of the attackers. After a trial lasting almost 4 months the jury returned a verdict unanimously acquitting his client and  others not involved in the death of the unfortunate attacker.
