Rina-Marie Hill Successful in Court of Appeal

The Court of Appeal has today handed down a judgement quashing convictions in a multiple-rape case in which Rina-Marie Hill defended a 19-year old female (charged alongside two male defendants).

In its ruling, the Court of Appeal held that the bad character of Rina-Marie Hills client had been properly admitted but that there were a number of material misdirections in the summing-up which led to the convictions themselves being unsafe.
