Samina Iqbal appointed as Judge of the First-Tier Tribunal

News

Chambers is delighted to announce that Samina Iqbal, a senior practitioner in the Immigration and Public Law team, has been appointed as a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal. She has also, at the same time, been appointed as a Deputy Judge of the Upper Tribunal. Samina has been assigned to the Immigration and Asylum Chamber (for both appointments) and will be leaving the Bar to start her new full-time appointment in the FTT (IAC) on 2nd September 2024.

Samina Iqbal led the Immigration and Public Law team jointly with her colleague, Sarah Pinder, from 2018 until May 2023. She will be missed in Chambers but will no doubt be an asset to the judiciary for many years to come.
