Successful out of hours application for interim relief

News

Brenda Efurhievwe secured an urgent, out of hours stay on the imminent removal of her vulnerable client last Saturday.

The Secretary of State for the Home Department was restrained from removing the client from the United Kingdom, pending further order. The urgent interim injunction enabled the client to issue an application for permission to judicially review the Home Office’s last-minute decision to reject her further submissions.

Brenda was instructed by Duncan Lewis Solicitors in relation to both the urgent interim relief and judicial review applications.   Brenda Efurhievwe is a member of the Immigration and Public Law team and accepts instructions in cases concerning immigration and asylum, and related public and civil law claims.
