Victoria Wilson appointed as a LawCare champion

News

Chambers is delighted to announce that specialist family barrister Victoria Wilson has been appointed as a LawCare champion in recognition of her ongoing contribution towards promoting good mental health and wellbeing in the legal community. LawCare is a charity which provides information and support to anyone in the legal world experiencing mental health and wellbeing problems; it also works to raise awareness, promote understanding and improve the culture and practice of law.

This new role complements Victoria’s role as the elected 2020 Chair of Wellbeing at the Bar, leading the group which carries out work on behalf of all barristers, clerks and staff in England and Wales, and her role as Chair of the FLBA Wellbeing Subcommittee, supporting the wellbeing of all members of the Family Law Bar Association, the Specialist Bar Association for family barristers in England and Wales. Victoria recently gave an interview to LawBore about her involvement with both those roles which can be found here: https://blog.lawbore.net/2020/10/the-lawbore-mental-health-and-wellbeing-interviews-victoria-wilson/

Victoria, who was also recently named as an inspiring woman lawyer due to her contribution to law, says “I am delighted to be called upon to help champion such an important organisation, and I am looking forward to working with LawCare to promote its aims, especially during these unprecedented times”.
