International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. In 2016, the day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Charlotte Proudman took part in a panel event at City University discussing ‘women in the work: what does professional look like?’ Alongside a panel of dynamic speakers, which included academics, lawyers and campaigners, Charlotte addressed the social and legal understanding of women’s appearance and dress code in the workplace in the 21st century.
