Portsmouth University held a two-day conference on ‘Reflections on the National and International Movement to End FGM’. Charlotte Proudman, barrister and expert in FGM, was invited to present her doctoral research on the barriers to prosecuting FGM in England and Wales.
Sarah Taylor defends second on indictment in seven handed Proceeds of Crime Act final hearing at Birmingham Crown Court. The prosecution initially sought a hidden assets figure in excess of £1,000,000. After 7 days of evidence an order was made in the amount of £30,000.
