Dr Charlotte Proudman represents victim of domestic abuse in child abduction case

P (Inherent Jurisdiction Return: Allegations of Female Genital Mutilation And Domestic Abuse: Fact Finding) [2022] EWHC 1722 (Fam) (04 July 2022) 

Dr Charlotte Proudman was instructed by Duncan Lewis solicitors on behalf of a victim of domestic abuse and controlling behaviour who fled Nigeria with her child. The father made an application for the return of the child following the wrongful removal of the child from Nigeria to England and Wales. The High Court conducted a fact-finding hearing. The mother and the child have applied for asylum and their asylum claim is pending in the first-tier tribunal which is due to the heard early this year.
