Joe Plowright of chambers’ immigration team participated in a students’ visit to the Immigration and Asylum Tribunal at Hatton Cross on 21st February 2018.
The Masters students in Refugee Care from Essex University spent a day observing appeals in the tribunal in Hatton Cross. Organised by Judge James, Joe spent some time with the students in a open discussion session answering the students’ questions. The students engaged in a fruitful informal conversation not only about their experiences of the day but also wider issues relating to the legal dimensions of the asylum process.
